My name is Christian Araiza, and I am an oil painter driven by purpose, symbolism, and storytelling. My work explores identity, faith, nature, and controversial themes through bold imagery and intentional detail. I create pieces that invite conversation, art that is not only seen, but felt and questioned.
Much of my work centers on powerful representations of women of color, biblical reinterpretations, and the relationship between humanity and nature. Through detailed line work, layered oil paint, and strong contrasts, I aim to challenge traditional narratives and present familiar subjects from new perspectives. Each painting is carefully constructed to hold meaning beneath the surface in every figure, expression, and element serves a purpose.
